Yes, they did bring in a few superstars over those years but nothing compared to the
2009 season. Over the past decade they tried developing a team from draft picks and
nothing seemed to pan out. Yes they don't play in as tough of a conference
that BCS teams do or as tough of independent teams, but they do go through
the season with one loss or even zero losses. Two is money actually wins championships,
and three is instant replay controlling the outcome of games.Through out the history of the
BCS teams like Florida, Louisiana State, Southern California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Ohio State have been
given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to bowl games and rankings. However,
over the past year I have noticed some very interesting things going on in the
Sports world. One being the lack of respect that non-BCS teams air max france being given the opportunity
at a national championship game. Sports have been apart of America for centuries and centuries.
Today's games are impacted tremendously by instant replay. I feel like its time to put
in some sort of play off system where the lesser-valued teams at least get a
shot to see where they stand against the powerhouse football teams. What did it produce?
A World Series Championship with more to come in the future. The last thing I've noticed
in sports was how much of an impact instant replay has on the outcome of
games. The New York Yankees are the only exception to building championship teams through draft
picks and farm systems. They work their picks through the farm systems and development leagues.
To me, the three stated above are what I've noticed the most. On the other
hand you have teams like Boise State, tn requin Utah, and Houston who haven't been given the
respect they deserve. They went out and spent as much money they could for the
top free agents in the league. I feel like instant replay is very important for
sports in today's world because they actually get the right calls and help settle disputes
over a game changing play. All in all sports have changed drastically through out the years.
They decided game changing plays that five years ago never would have been reversed. The
only one disappointing to me is how much money teams will spend in order to
win a championship. Nothing gets an ordinary citizen more excited than opening day, your childhood
team making the playoffs, underdogs, or your favorite team winning a championship. Whether it's for
homerun calls, goals, catches, or out of bounds. However, the New York Yankees are the
complete opposite. All four major sports now have introduced instant replay for some aspect or
scenario of the game. Instant replay I feel is great for sports because in the
end the right was made. Putting in some sort of playoff system would resolve reoccurring
problems and complaints about teams not getting a fair chance or opportunity to show what
they are capable off. Most professional organizations establish a winning team with championship caliber players from
draft picks. One loss for the non-BCS teams is crucial where as one loss for
more prestigious football programs and they are still given the shot at either a national
title game or a BCS bowl game. It ruins the art of establishing and organizing
a winning team the old way. As for the BCS I feel it was work
itself out eventually and everything will be settled and lower end teams will get their
chance..
